Overview: As a sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team since 1992, Bank of America enlisted Organic to create an interactive digital experience to engage consumers before, during, and after the 2008 Games. The America’s Cheer site was built to allow US Olympic team fans to upload their Cheers as videos on YouTube, photos on Flickr, and text messages on Facebook . Organic also designed a Facebook app for this campaign, called “Medal Me!”

Organic created destination pages on YouTube, Flickr and Facebook to leverage social networks and increase the campaign network exponentially. A Mobile Tour also traveled across the country enabling visitors to record Cheers for YouTube.

Media support extended to TV with a weekly “Cheer of the Week” picked for NBC’s Today Show, and high-profile interactive flash banners gave Bank of America one of its highest click-through rates ever. Offline, Cheers were featured on outdoor digital signage in heavily trafficked locations like Times Square and Victory Center.

Results: The campaign generated 40,969 Cheers, over 33 million video views, and the highest interaction rates ever recorded in rich media for the financial vertical by Pointroll.
